Nature in Salalah in the south of Oman, enjoys between June and September the benefits of the south west monsoon also called the Khareef. Almost every day now drizzle rain, soft grey skies and nice temperatures (24th -27th degrees) are on display.
For Ramadan, this weather creates a perfect atmosphere to leave the hectic of life a little bit behind, to walk on the beach, to contemplate, to try to find peace with the inner self, to visit friends and family. During this month, Muslims try to read as much of the Qur’an as they can. Some spend part of their day listening to the recitation of the Qur’an in a mosque.
For a nice atmosphere, the clothes are perfumed. During this month of fasting men like to buy perfumes based on Oud.
“ Oud has an outstanding mystery that has captures the hearts of pious devotees and royal elites for centuries. Being an earthly aspect, it has a quality that grounds inner being. As an intangible essence, it has the power to inspire our souls to the Divine realms.”
