Is it raining in Salalah? Then we come. From June till September, during the south west monsoon or the Khareef season, this type of calls are common in Dhofar in the south of the Sultanate.

Relieved from the heat in the cities, holidaymakers from the north of Oman, the UAE and the GCC enjoy the mild temperature, the green hills and valleys and the yearly Salalah Tourism Festival in Ittin. Two hunderd thousand square meters equipped with all the latest and modern facilities, downhill from Jabel Al Qara hosts the annual Salalah Tourism Festival formerly called the Khareef Festival. This year the Festival takes place till the 6th of September. Latest figures from the National Center of Statistics and Information (NCSI) show that the number of visitors from June 21 to August 15 to the Salalah Tourism Festival has reached 229,713.
