Pastel goes back to the basic of drawings and paintings in acrylic or oil,” says Idris Alhooti, guest of honor for this workshop and based in Muscat. With twenty two years of experience, he teaches the artists the basic of this technique. “By doing this the artist can see new opportunities when he or she goes back to his or her painting in acrylic or oil,” he says.”Pastel is beautiful, very simple in use and combines sketching and painting at the same time.”
