For the third time, the Kerala Malayalam wing of the Indian Social Club, one of the 12 regional linguistic wings of the club in Salalah-Dhofar, organized a Theatre Contest for Drama on the stage. Four groups performed four theatre plays. Each play took 30 minutes. As usual, after the performance the best play, the best actors and the best producers were honored. Kerala is well known for theatre. From 2008 there is the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFoK) one of the major theatre festivals of India and organized by the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. This Akademi was found on 26 of April 1958 under the Department of Culture. The Akademi encourages various forms of dance, music, folk arts and drama. The Theatre Contest for Drama of the Indian Social Club do the same. The performances were diversified. Beside traditional stories there was also modern theatre.
