Experiencing Ramadan

It is still raining in Salalah in the south of Oman. The grey sky, the nice temperature (27-29 degree) of the south west monsoon gives a special and peaceful flair to Ramadan. During the holy month of fast, social and family ties are strengthened. Iftar, breaking the fast at sunset, is the most important moment to do so. And, yes, food plays a vital role in this. But there is more. Meals prepared at home are usually more nutritious and healthy. New preparations of food can be tried out. During the conversations, information is shared, so we can get connected. People who share food, share their heart.
