Like a fish in water

The south west monsoon left Salalah – Dhofar. The impressive sea turns blue again. It is nice walking along the coastline. The sea has an abundance of sardines. Fisheries are one of the most important production sectors in the Governorate of Dhofar, with its long coast along the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The number of fishermen in 2013 stood at 10.501. Not only for dolphin’s the sea become again a paradise. Worldwide divers come to the area to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world.

BUT……..

Looking around on the worldwide internet I find some particular projects with fish in the main role.

To address uniquely modern problem, Japanese space agency ‘JAXA’ is teaming up with Japanese fishing net maker ‘Nitto Seimo’ to haul in some of the 100.000-plus objects of space junk orbiting the planet. Nitto Seimo is a century-old Japanese company that pioneered super strong knotless fishing nets.
