Two photo exhibitions are highlights at the ‘Salalah Tourism Festival,’ in Salalah-Dhofar. The annual Festival started on the 23th of July and will take place till the end of August. First there is the annual ‘Al Khareef Exhibition’ who hosts 45 works from 28 photographers and for the second time there is the ‘Photography Society Dhofar Forum’ who showcases 60 works from 33 photographers from Dhofar in the south of Oman. The ‘Al Khareef exhibition’ focus on the variety of Oman in general. The ‘Photography Society Dhofar Forum’ brings in general the region in the south of the country in focus. Both exhibitions give the visitors an overview of the natural, historical and cultural heritage of the country. Both exhibitions are ‘a must to see’ during the Festival.
From the 33 photographers from the Photography Society Dhofar Forum, eight photographers are female. Also ‘Amna Ba Omar,’ participates as usual with six works in both exhibitions.
