35 pictures of 18 members of the Dhofar Photography Society bring homage to the Sultanate of Oman. The expo, opened today, fits in the nationwide celebration of the 45th Omani National Day. I was there and made a personal choice….
‘Lady of the Rings’…During the Salalah Tourism Festival, ‘Adnain Dhesh,’ wanted to portray a lady from Ibri, around eighty years old. But when he saw that her eyes could not stand the flashlight, he decided to accentuate the hands and certainly the rings. Rings in different designs fits for each finger….

‘Ittin,’ named after the place during the Khareef, the south-west monsoon, from ‘Saif Al Harrasi’ is special in both ways. First there is the shape of the wood that guided him to the sky and the greenery. That’s why he put the wooden line in the corner. For me, the wood started to trigger my imagination. Together with the atmosphere of the landscape something magical appears.
‘It will be a tree?’ from ‘Hamood Kofa’ is subtle …..and wonders…
