Till the 5th of March, 650 publishing houses from 27 Arab and foreign countries are taking part in the 21st edition of Muscat International Book Fair. 250.000 titles are listed and available at the search engine of the website, as well as 40 cultural events are organised. The exhibition is the biggest cultural event in the Sultanate of Oman. For the first time publishing houses from Pakistan and Italy are taken part. An app for smartphone users has been created. In this edition, winners of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Ipaf) will be unveiled at the fair and one of the winners will be hosted. According to the Arab Publishers Union, the Muscat International Book Fair of the Sultanate of Oman is among the best 10 book fairs at the Arab level and one of the top three fairs at the Gulf level in terms of the number of visitors and publishers, one can read in newspapers.
