I have a dream…Alaaf

Traditionally when we think of Carnival, we think of ‘Prince Carnival.’ Nothing wrong with that but…suppose, why not choosing a ‘Princess,’ or better both genders…Prince and Princess…

Carnival is originally a pagan European spring festival. A reversal ritual. A rite of passage from darkness to light, from winter to summer: a fertility celebration. During time, Carnival turns also in La Roche-en-Ardenne, in Belgium…for three days the town upside down… with an emphasis on role-reversal and suspension of social norms….The role reversal patterns can already be found in old Roman and Babylonian religious rituals.

In the parades, men dress themselves like women….

So why not emphasis on Princess instead of Prince….? Or both genders at least?…
