My summer solstice walk.

The longest day of the year is a perfect time for a walk through Frijthout in my hometown of Hove. Especially when trumpet music accompanied the opening of the temporary open-air exhibition ‘Light gives comfort (Licht en Troost).’

About twenty works of art are spread over the landscape park and garden of the castle of Fruithof. Themes such as loss, vulnerability and strength are addressed in words, images, stories and sculptures. In addition to your own experience, the QR codes give visitors a deeper layer in the individual work of each artist involved. One thing is certain, this exhibition connects nature and people in a very special way.

Hereby a photo impression of my walk from 8.30 pm to 9 pm between Hove and the municipality of Boechout.

The exhibition ‘Light gives comfort’ runs till 10th of July.
