Two times ‘light’ played a main role in La Roche-en-Ardenne, my hometown in Belgium.
First, this Friday, moreover ‘Good Friday,’ a Christian religious holiday and preceding Easter Sunday, people with torches walked through the streets of the town to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at the Cavalry. During this commemoration people prayed for a tolerant and a better world.
During the visit of the ruins of the ‘Castle of La-Roche-En-Ardenne,’ torches ‘highlighted’ the history of this feudal castle dating back to the ninth century.
